Hi!
I do a lot of design projects (mostly for fun) and particularly a lot of women's clothing design. I hesitate to call it fashion design because I'm not the sort of person who keeps a close eye on what is in or out of fashion. I just design clothes that I would love to wear or that I think look particularly beautiful.
I started this blog after I got a new computer which made designing on the computer a much more realistic possibility and really sped up how quickly I could produce my designs. As such, it's been a bit of a learning curve, as much of my design work before had been done on paper.
I tend to use objects or images to inspire most of my designs and so for this blog I've decided to divide my designs into four categories according to what they were inspired by. I have designs inspired by History, Nature, Art and Literature, which end up producing quite a varied range of designs.
I try to design all my clothes on realistic, healthy sized models. I find the alien-like templates that are used for many fashion sketches incredibly cringe-worthy and don't like the ideas they put forward about what is attractive or beautiful. I want people who visit my blog to be able to see beautiful clothes on healthy sized women.
I really hope you enjoy looking through my designs. I have a bit of a tendency to design tons of evening dresses at the expense of everything else, so in an attempt to prevent that I've created a separate blog for wedding and special occasion clothes at www.bronzedalebridaldesigns.blogspot.co.uk/ please feel free to check it out. Separating them out so that I can't always design another elaborate gown has meant that I've made myself design some things that I probably wouldn't have otherwise. I've been pleasantly surprised by some of the ideas that are out there when you make yourself think outside of the box.
I hope you like the designs, and thank you for visiting my blog. Please feel free to leave any comments on any of the designs, feedback is really appreciated,
Bronzedale Designs.
